Please sign this petition if you would like the City of Sonoma and Caltrans to work together in creating a safer intersection at 7th & W. Napa Streets -- for both cars and pedestrians.

We cross at this intersection all the time with our dog and toddler. Some cars stop, some don't. It makes it very challenging to cross safety.

The intersection of 7th St W and Napa St in Sonoma is heavily used by families walking to Sassarini Elementary and residents accessing nearby stores. Currently a two-way stop, it allows speeding traffic to blow through, endangering kids and pedestrians. A four-way stop and high-visibility crosswalks are urgently needed to slow cars and provide safe crossing.

Safer crosswalks everywhere in the valley are necessary and much needed. I think they should all have lights. Pedestrians are not paying attention and drivers are not paying attention. Safer crosswalks will save lives.

This crosswalk needs a signal. Not sure why they placed the flashing light further down W Napa pass the library.
